Never answer not sure on a firefighter psychological exam
Never answer not sure f you are taking a psychological test or a firefighter exam which now includes subjects such as Stress Tolerance, Team Orientation, Motivation/Attitude, Background Information Surveys, etc. These questions are typically answered by selecting one of the following: Strongly Agree/Agree/Not Sure/Disagree/Strongly Disagree.
Answering any questions “Not Sure” on these type of exams will dramatically increase your chance of failure or scoring extremely low. You should never, ever answer a question “Not Sure.” It gives the appearance of being wishy washy, being unsure of your decisions and not able to make up your mind.
If you are lucky enough to progress in the hiring process and meet with the psychologist, you will be questioned on why you selected Not Sure for particular questions.
Good luck in your pursuit of the greatest job on the face of the earth! Remember – luck goes to the prepared!
