FIREFIGHTER CANDIDATE TESTING CENTER (FCTC) FIREFIGHTER EXAM
Firefighter Candidate Test Center is a very popular testing company in California and other western states.
This is a 100-question multiple-choice exam on the following testing subjects. You will have 2-1/2 hours to complete the examination.
- Recall and Comprehend Technical Information from Written Materials – This portion of your exam will test your reading comprehension skills.
- Recall and Comprehend Verbal and Visual Information - This portion of your examination requires you to watch and listen to two short videos and then answer questions based on the presented material.
- Solve Mathematical Problems - You will be tested on your knowledge of basic addition, multiplication, subtraction, division, percentages, ratios, decimals, square roots and word problems.
- Apply Mechanical Reasoning - This portion will test your knowledge of basic mechanical principles such as levers, pulleys, gears.
- Map Reading - This section of the exam will test your ability to read maps to determine the quickest route from Point A to Point B.
